Affirmations really are magical words for many reasons.
There really is something in the power of the spoken word.
Many people believe in the power of positive thinking and affirmations are a good way to
change some of the deep sub-conscious thoughts that we hold.

For instance ... affirmations like ...
'Today I view my childhood without shame'
'I am at peace with myself'
'I affirm my worth and goodness'
'I am worthy of love, it is safe for me to give and receive love'.

All of the above can be useful for changing thoughts deeply and unconsciously embedded since childhood.

What you think about, you attract - even if it's negative, even when the thoughts are sub-conscious

For instance if you say 'I think i'm getting sick' then in all probability you WILL get sick.
If you think 'I don't want to get sick' then there is less chance of it happening.
Also if somewhere down in your sub-conscious something is screaming 'Shame' at
you then this will effect how you live and what you feel about yourself.
This is because you attract what you think. When you say 'I don't want to' or
'I need' then you attract energies that sustain the don't want or the need inside you.
In other words thinking like this will never take you forward. Instead you need to say
'Today I view my childhood without shame' or 'Today I feel great' or 'My body is healthy in every way'.
You may find that you have to fight your reasoning mind on this one and repeat such
affirmations over and over again until it 'clicks', BUT, it works ... Honestly.





Try making up your own affirmations to fulfil your own needs, but, always make sure they are positive.

Affirmations are statements. They are powerful and positive thoughts sent out to the Universe and
to your unconscious mind. You need to eliminate the negativity around you.
It must be a positive and powerful belief, not just a 'Maybe i'll try and see if this works'.

Affirmations can modify the way your subconscious mind works. Even when you feel things are hopeless,
the spoken word can begin the healing. If you repeat a favourite affirmation like a mantra,
over and over again, crowding out all negative thoughts and filling your mind with only one thought of
conviction you are doing something that is extremely effective in promoting positive change.
You are reprogramming your mind.





Affirmations are free, you can make up your own, they are easy and usually effective.
It is the simple process of repeating a positive phrase in front of a mirror,
in the car or even writing it on paper repeatedly.
Whenever you catch yourself thinking something you don't want to - Change that thought to a new one.
